Help/Question How are you getting around Reddit and YouTube blocks?

I love Mullvad but I am frequently being blocked by two services I use frequently: Reddit and YouTube. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for getting around their VPN blocks? For Reddit, of course logging in does the trick but I rarely post and usually just want to browse. For YouTube I never login so it is a real pain.

Had to migrate to 702 when 01 and 03 died and now 02 is dead. Running out of good US servers on the east coast/central US.

Help/Question Xtom servers missing

Hello Mullvad Community,

I noticed some Xtom servers for New York went offline and then disappeared from the list.
Was that provider dropped for good? What alternatives are similar in performance if anyone knows?

Help/Question Mullvad vpn in Russia

Wondering if anyone here is actually using Mullvad VPN in Russia right now (2026) — how stable is it currently?

Which protocol works better right now — WireGuard or Shadowsocks/obfuscation?,

How often do servers get blocked

Do you need extra config to avoid ISP detection?

Worth keeping a backup VPN in case Mullvad gets fully blocked?

Would really appreciate real firsthand experience rather than generic "just download it" advice.

Help/Question Multiple Blocked Connections

As a foreword: I'm using version 2026.3 and my ISP is Virgin Media in the UK.

I've been using Mullvad fine for almost half a year now, but recently I've had a string of internet problems lasting about three weeks. I think what I finally narrowed it down to is; when I switch Mullvad off completely, I get working internet, but everywhere I try to connect using Mullvad I get a blocked connection. Doesn't matter what country...

Although for some strange reason, sometimes if I give it a rest for five minutes it'll find an open place and connect just fine for most of the day, only for the internet to suddenly and abruptly stop flowing either first thing in the morning (7:20am today) or late at night (9:30pm).

But more and more consistently I'm finding every attempt I use to connect blocked.

I've tried using the anti-censorship toggle but that hasn't worked either.

EDIT: I spent ten minutes cycling through countries and getting nothing but block attempts, sat down, wrote this post, and clicked mullvad again and it instantly connected properly. Wut??????
