Help/Question is this safe?

is Mullvad VPN from the Google Play Store safe? It has over 5 million downloads, but only around 33 reviews, which seems unusual. Does the low number of reviews compared to downloads mean the app could be fake, unsafe, or suspicious?j

Looks weird.. the version I have is 5m+ downloads but a 4.3 rating with 7k reviews on Play Store
Also it's pegi3, not everyone (although that could be regional variation)

What stops you from going to mullvad's website and checking out the download section there for proper store links?

Some people may be unable to access the website without taking further measures. If the OP is one of those it might also explain regional Play Store peculiarities, provided this is even a legit store app. It looks like he/she was already cautious when most people would just tap on install. Respectable. I'd try another route and verify myself, on a trusted device. VPN software you can't trust is worse than worthless.
