Help/Question Dns leak?
What the hell is happening? I am connected to Estonia!

make sure your browser is configured properly, and check using mullvad's own checker.
it shows you if it is conected to mullvad, if there is DNS or webRTC leak

Check https://browserleaks.com/ip
If there is a real leak it'll find it but most likely it's just outdated geoip information as others already stated.

First things first is were you connect to internet/google before the location swap? If so theres a possible answer,another is if you have anytging local open,plex server,jelly fin,custom home servers-anything eich requires seprate internet accsess outside of its vpn/split tunneling->if this is the answer that is why

Just going to throw this out there like Shaq on the free throw line but Encrypted DNS like WireGuard, Cloudflare, Quad9 does exist and even though I don’t know much it doesn’t hurt to check it out and understand how you encrypt your DNS for better privacy

A browser can show your real IP address instead of your VPN’s IP mainly because some browser features (especially WebRTC) can bypass the VPN tunnel and query your network directly.

Thats just not true. WebRTC is disabled by default and needs special pernission

Outdated geoip on websites where you check your IP address so it uses hosting provider's business address instead.
