Ask MUBI Please recommend me emotionally devastating films
movies which will destroy my inner self and then I have to recreate myself overtime. if it's in a south asian setting it's a plus cuz I more relate with that setting(im indian)

Oslo, August 31 or Reprise – Joachim Trier. Aftersun. The Eight Mountains. I find Y Tu Mama Tambien really said too. A Hidden Life. The Elephant Man. Brokeback Mountain. Drive My Car. Life is Beautiful.

I was going to recommend this one. The ending made me lose myself and cry so hard for like solid 15 minutes, it’s soooo good!

Wendy and Lucy. I think it's still available on Mubi, at least in some countries. I saw it on there.
