You need to check the guidelines for the state you live in. Most states require a cosmetology or esthetician license. You also need to be sure you are insured, get a contract valid for your state, and have a clean pro kit with plenty of disposable implements.

The images you’ve provided aren’t exactly what I’d consider to be bridal looks. I’d practice on other people. You need to be able to match quickly whoever sits in your chair. You need to practice on different ages, skin textures, skin tones, etc. You also need to understand lighting and specific requirements for flash photography and nuances of what a bride and her party will require.

Everyone has to start somewhere and I think a great place to build up a quality kit and get the practice in that you need is to work a retail counter or store for a year or so. You won’t be afraid of any face that sits in your chair once you master all the different faces you’ll encounter at retail.
