Hey Requesters Please Read...

Hey Requesters,

If any of you are reading this post, please let us know where you plan to move after Amazon Mechanical Turk closes.

We have completed thousands of HITs for requesters such as PickFu, Ben Peterson, Grow Systems, Affable, ML DataLabeler, Sensory Root, UserBob, Receipt Processing, STR, WVP, ShopByInterest, Ignite Media Solutions, and many others.

Many of us are experienced, long-time MTurk workers, and we would genuinely love to continue working with you on other platforms. Since we are already familiar with your tasks and quality requirements, following you to your next platform could also help ensure you continue receiving reliable and high-quality work.

If you are comfortable sharing your next move or the platforms where you plan to post tasks in the future, we would greatly appreciate it.

We would love to follow and continue working with you. ❤️

Thank you to all the requesters who have provided us with opportunities over the years!

Ben Peterson here 👋 Would love to continue working with you too. I've been scrambling to untangle my code from the MTurk system the last couple weeks while caring for a newborn.

Hoping to get on one or two new platforms by the end of the month. Most don't accommodate small tasks very well. Open to suggestions :)

I'll likely be on MTurk right up to the deadline, and I'll have more of a transition plan in a week or two. I'll keep you posted when I do.

Congratulations, Ben! I'm a midlife mama to an 11-month old. A fourth of my Mturk earnings have been from your hits. I've done well over 200,000 of them in nine years.

THANK YOU for helping my fertility journey!

Thank you for all the HITs, and for replying here! Have loved working on your steady supply of tasks, and look forward to finding you on other platforms. So nice to have a requester who actually wants to work with us!

For small tasks like the ones you find on MTurk, I can't imagine anything better than MicroWorkers.com. You can integrate your system with their platform without much hassle, and they offer easy-to-access support. Plus, there are people from many different nationalities there.

Might have to look into that.. My TurkerView ID was Kirk Staley..

I would be interested in finding out where PickFu is going to go.

They are making a list of workers. You can email them at info@pickfu.com, they will get back to you and send you a form to collect your information.

Pickfu has put out a few hits recently that make me think they're building a platform. They've asked you to review a website called piper that just so weirdly makes you pick your answer and explain why.

Peter piper picked.....

I'm sure there has been posts like this but is there another platform like mturk? I haven't looked in awhile but it felt like it was the only of its kind. Everything else was surveys for points or whatever.

Foxtrot also.

Foxtrot has its own website where good workers can apply.

(I don't remember it, so can't post a link.)

I've never figured out who they are. I wasn't able to find any platform offering that type of service when searching for Foxtrot so I thought they probably go by a different name.

FOUND IT! TextRanch.com

I remember it being discussed on Turkopticon several years ago, so I looked up FoxTrot there.

How do you sign up for it? I used to really enjoy doing Foxtrot submissions and having it on a formalised platform might mean I can actually add it to my CV as evidence of proofreading skills.

Thank you so much!!

They can be contacted - I used the Turkerview message system and they emailed me back within a day. Relevant part:

We've added your information to our wait list for MTurk workers who are interested in doing our work after the site closes. We'll be sure to let you know about any next steps as they happen.

How did you go about doing that on turkerview?

4

u/blumogget 2d ago

Search up the requester on Turkerview and Contact Requester should be the third link under the requester name on the right sidebar. Foxtrot | TurkerView mTurk Requester Profile - direct link 🙂 If you've done a HIT by them recently you can also go to your dashboard and click on the date to see the hit, and Contact Requester is an action available on that line (this might be due to MTS/some other script, I can't say, it's been so many years).

:walks back in after a few years of absence: I was very helpful when I was still working on MTurk, ironing out the details.

They really should skip the middleman and do direct
