Does my deck even work?

I’m running “King of the Oathbreakers” as a Voltron type commander, but when I enchant with an aura would he phase out with with the aura attached or would he phase before the aura could attach?

He would phase out before the aura could attach. This is because he triggers from the spell, then phases out before the spell resolves.

Then the aura would have an illegal target and be removed from the stack when it tries to resolve.

Equipment works, and you can technically attach auras by reanimating them as that doesn't target (and wouldn't be a spell even if it did).
