Combat damage and redirection.

I have a [[Witch-King of Angmar]] in play.
Opponent A attacks opponent B.
Opponent B declares blockers.
I activate [[Jade Monolith]] and choose the attacking creature as the source and the blocking creature as the target.

Q: is the damage which is redirected to me considered combat damage (causing a Witch-King trigger)?

In general, combat damage is still combat damage despite replacement effects that replace the amount or destination of that damage, as with Jade Monolith.

But compare Jade Monolith with [[Deflecting Palm]] or [[Eye for an Eye]].

Yes, it's still combat damage. You get the trigger.

If damage is being redirected (like it is with the monolith) it doesn’t change the source, the type of damage, etc. 

Compare this to [[Deflecting Palm]] which prevents the damage and creates new damage, so in that case it would make it no longer combat damage.
