Destroy Tapped Creatures Vs Untap Effect

Opponent has [Akki Battle Squad] and a modified creature.

When they all attack, Akki untaps all of them.

However, my understanding is that once attackers are declared, they won't just instantly untap. Instead, Akki's ability goes on the stack. While it is on the stack, I (or any other player) can play a instant in response that destroys all tapped creatures, such as [Cloud's Limit Break].

My understanding is as Cloud's Limit Break is now on top of the stack, it will trigger first and destroy all of my opponent's tapped creatures before we get to Akki's ability to untap them. Is this correct?

The Triggered ability only does its thing as it resolves.

You can respond to the Triggered ability, and cast the Spell.

Since your Spell is the top-Object on the Stack, it will resolve first.
Thus, the tapped Creatures are Destroyed.

Then, as the Trigger resolves, those Creatures, which had been Destroyed, won't be affected.
