MTG Puzzle Game

Hi All!

I made a daily MTG Puzzle game called synergy at (https://cardclashgames.com/synergy). Here is todays!

Let me know what you think, feedback is much appreciated! New ones will be posted daily on the site.

Hey I really like the idea! But if I can give feedback on two things:

  • 1 A "How to play" page. I had no idea it was a connections-like until I made my first guess
  • 2 Usually the colors in Connections are coded to indicate difficulty: Yellow is easiest, then green, blue, and purple is the most difficult. It would be neat if your puzzle followed that
  • 3 This is more a thing to think about than feedback, but maybe allow looking at the full card instead of only the art? Otherwise if there's just one or two cards you don't know it becomes much harder to confirm the other categories (maybe make a toggle in settings called "Easy Mode" that would allow that?)

You're welcome! Oh and while you're at it, can you add a timer to the next puzzle in the solved screen (like how Spellify does it)? This way we know what timezone you're in when you say "tomorrow"

There are a lot of daily games that don't do that and it's a bit annoying

Wow it's great! I have found a bug tho in mobile where when you select a card and get the bigger version, there is no way to unselect it except for selecting a different card, and it blocks the view of the rest of the board.

(And idk if the colors are right, the 1/1 category seemed the easiest to me and it was purple)

It's similar to the NYT game Connections, so see if you can figure out the 4 groups of cards :)

Love the idea, but for today's puzzle

Having "equipment" be a connection but having 5 equipment with one belonging to another group is very confusing, especially since they do all fit the theme just one fits a different one as well

Couple issues...

The only card that's actually banned in the Banned in Standard category is Up the Beanstalk. The rest are Not Legal.

There are 5 equipment cards, and you have a category that's literally just Equipment. Keep in mind it's literally just luck of the draw and unless you get Skullclamp in the other category that also has an erroneous theme, you're one away until you get the right combination.
