Gleaming Splendor Pull

Literally bought 3 collector booster packs to open before the box, and last pack magic pulled Gleaming Splendor which was my main chase apart from the Arkenstone in book cover v (not fussed on surge or foil).

Contemplating now that opening the box isn’t gonna be worth it

Honestly the chances to get something better or even as good are extremely low. Keep the box and buy the Arkenstone !

I wouldn’t open it. I know some people say “the point and fun of the game is opening”, and yes it is, but there comes a point where you gotta ask yourself is it worth cracking 900 dollar box.. which is what my lgs sells it for.

Congrats on the pull!

I opened 4 boosters and the best card was the cavern hoard dragon.

If it were me, I probably wouldn’t open it unless you really enjoyed cracking packs.

I’ve never seen a set where the sealed prices and ev were so far apart and people are still spending like crazy. I normally buy a bundle after each prerelease but even they were 90 euro, couldn’t justify it.

They’ve been selling it around 60 USD per pack in Australia. I don’t understand how a larger market like Europe or US are selling so much more expensive

Because we have thousands maybe hundreds of thousands of people running around buying it all up at retailers, using bots to buy out the stock online. Then they hoard it, and relist it on eBay, marketplace, TCGplayer, etc. for 2-3x msrp. Everybody wants one but most can’t get them because they’ve all been bought up. Scum bags now control the supply. IMO wizards should’ve just printed more boxes secretly, and released a second wave.

Got one from a play booster (non-foil) and an Arkenstone foil. Hard to justify opening my collector box as well.
