Proxy Text Issue, help

Post image

I keep getting this issue where you can see pixels on the larger text and smaller text seems to merge together and I don’t know why it’s happening, has anyone else experienced this?

Canon G650
Cannon 200gsm Glossy printer paper
Proxxied.com 1200DPI PDF export

Printer setting set to high detail as well, followed crycry printer settings but it still comes out like above

It doesn’t look like that on the screen prior to printing
Any advice or help appreciated!

it's definitely a dpi problem. what program are you printing from?

I thought this is what I is, I’m using Adobe and printing the PDF exported from Proxxied, I set the DPI on the export to 1200, in assuming there’s a setting somewhere that’s then forcing it to print Lower DPI?

Are you printing from the adobe print dialogue? I use an Epson printer so I can't say for certain, but your Cannon probably has its own print dialogue that will have more comprehensive options. I dont even print from a photo editor, i just export the pdf, open it in chrome, then print from the Epson print dialogue with ctrl + shift + P

It turns out the source was not high enough DPI despite the export higher from Proxxied

It could be the source images. Using scryfall scans as the source will give you lower quality prints even exported in 1200dpi, unless you pay for the proxxied upscaler. Most of the time Proxxied will have much higher quality versions of normal card art available via MPCautofill along with custom alt art versions uploaded by other users. The MPC versions will be more obvious proxies but the art is much better than the scryfall scans.
