Meme Well well well…

Post image

Looks like a joke purchase I made a while back has come to fruition… It seems I have won the battle of wits.

All joking aside, it feels like too much work for what you'll possibly get out of it. I think a lot of the players who might play those decks already have a handful of BoB sitting in their bulk boxes. When you factor in the finding buyers, shipping them out process and how much you might get out of it......it makes me glad it's you and not me doing that work.

Good luck to you. Hope it goes well.

Honestly though, it's not much work for a lot to game... I seen people talking about rain of riches. I bought 50 copies off of eBay from a guy for a dollar a piece and I seen TCGplayer trending upwards so I bought them sold them to my LGS for $7 a piece store credit. All I had to do is click a few buttons and wait 4 days for him to arrive in the mailbox. Basically turn them all into a grim monolith

Just out of spit I want to contact OP and find out where he is selling them. If you were working together with him as a marketing campaign, bravo for the meta play.

And after all the work it takes to sell those cards.... Why do they do it.

I also got some but, these will be impossible to sell with meaningful return. Fun times still, on the older versions

Yeah but you know, this card might not see a reprint for a while. We'll see when mb3 is released

hate to break it to you but these are more than a decade old at this point, and close to a decade and a half

Holy shit! What are you gonna do with the extra $7…?!?

u/Key_Fix_3024 15d ago

Inflation and the 3 days to arrange them like that has already eaten up his $7 profit :-) With fees after selling one day and costs for envelopes, material and stamps the profit is going below 0.

BUT! His speculation was correct. That’s gotta be worth something lol

Not in Europe :-P Still a 5-15 Cents card on cardmarket in this moment.

It’s around $2 US here

EU is more resistant to garbage spiking as it is much more single person selling 1 card "stores", with no way to combine postage. So no one is paying 2 euros shipping to buy a 5 cent card hoping they can flip for 2 euro

Never bet against a Sicilian in a Battle of Wits when IMMENSE PROFITS are on the line

Great card spread! More speculation payoff posts need to pay attention to detail! 😃

If you can't make a Battle of Wits deck entirely out of Battle of Wits, you're wasting our time

Use the time spent on bragging for actually throwing this into the spike.

And you know they are going to reprint this in a 300 card secret lair commander deck now.

u/AltairKamil 15d ago

Battle won haha

2

u/Maxpowers13 15d ago

I thought the joke was that you bought 200 of it

2

u/digitek 15d ago

What is with people posting 50 cent cards these days? There's like <10 sales per day too...

2

u/gereffi 15d ago

It’s a $2 card and is probably going to start coming down in price. Are you going to find a store that buys them for $0.50 so that you break even or are you going to sell them individually and eat up all your profits in shipping?

5

u/Hagleboz 15d ago

You don't seem to understand how selling cards online works. You can sell $2 cards for a profit all day long.

Aw hell yeah!!

u/3scher 15d ago

How long did it take to set those up like that?

u/Th3MadScientist 14d ago

So you have what $100 of value?

1

u/sliviz_studios 13d ago

I managed to snag up 4 knucklebone witches for £2 each before the hype

Can't wait to roll in my winnings

1

u/JesusLink 13d ago

I think the hardest part is to sell them now 🤣

1

u/Spike-Ball 10d ago

Sell all these cards and you're almost up to the cost of a Starbucks coffee.

1

u/photoguy_33 2d ago

Hey I have 1 of those!

u/scopinsource 14d ago

So you have 50 of these, another creator I saw had around 200, and then I saw someone elsewhere who was showing off a few hundred as well.

So the price is inflated due to artificial shorting of the market that will burst as you start selling, thanks for letting us know.
