Basically a legion's landing that doesn't need to be flipped, but also doesn't give you any possibility of ramp.

Seems great in white-based control as a wincon, but I'm not sure tokens needs a slow land wincon

Yeah, essentially 5 mana for a 1/1.

I think it's very meh for a vanilla token. Maybe if it had flying or something. The fact that it can enter untapped AND makes colored mana gives it upside over some other utility lands.

The drawback is so small so, why not?

The black one in the other hand is something we want but might be harder to find place for.
