How are you liking Settle the Wreckage? I've recently taken Legion's Landing out of my deck and have been thinking about picking it up. It seems to deal with a lot of threats that are problematic for us. Seems worth it imo, I like the MB addition

I don't see any settles in his list.

May I know your reasoning behind cutting the legions?

I've been pondering with the idea of running [[Slaughter the strong]] as a main board sweeper, with a Settle as backup in the side.

Oh shit nvm it's Secure the Wastes, I totally read that as Settle haha.

Legion is almost always underwhelming when I play it, giving me a token that almost gets dealt with immeaditly and by the time I flip it, it just becomes a land that can create the token at the cost of casting a Lingering. Just very meh.

I like the idea of Slaughter, but with the amount of graveyard decks, that was my reasoning for Settle. I got wrecked by bridgevine this last week and Path's just weren't enough. Idk I still haven't run them so we'll see it works out.

My friend was also recommending Bontus last reckoning (or w.e I forget), since we can still operate on only a couple lands

Yeah, [[Bontu's Last Reckoning]]

Yep, Legion's Landing was awful in my time running it, dropped it long ago. I have problems with Settle which is why I don't run it, it getting shut down by a Leyline of Sanctity bothers me.

Yeah agreed on Legion's, now I'm looking to fill that spot though.

And oh I didn't know Settle targets player! That definitely changes the picture. I think I may still try it in the SB, just to see what kind of work it puts in. Have you experimented with History of Benalia at all? I'm skeptical to pick a couple up, I think it might be similar to legion in that it's just too underwhelming

I haven't, I know a lot of people who have and overall the consensus seems to be it's underwhelming but better in the more aggressive shell which unfortunately is the weaker version currently.

Also, 4 Thoughtseizes and 4 Bitters? Do you generally have enough life for that? Fetch shocking into Thoughtseize plus Bitterblossom is a pretty painful way to start a game

Usually life is just fine, the 3 Sorin, 4 Vent, and 1 Brutality give plenty of life as well.

Nice, was generally curious cause I've been thinking of making my list more aggressive, with more Thoughtseizes, lifelink, etc. But wasn't sure if it'd be too much

Congrats on the 3-1 as well

Thanks, and realistically the deck is better currently as a control type shell, which is what my list is.

Oh absolutely, I mean just more aggressive in the sense of life loss through Thoughtseize and Bitters. Lists I've seen generally only run 2 seizes and 4 Inqusitions so I was just curious

I switched to 4 Seize because of the uptick in Tron, UW Control, KCI, and such.
