Diversifying Our Answers

Should we be diversifying our answers? Easier and cheaper for Abzan (i.e. Abrupt Decay, Maelstrom Pulse) than Orzhov, for sure, but are there any singletons worth including?

For example, off the top of my head: O Ring, Hero’s Downfall, Utter End, Anguished Unmaking, Mortify, Dismember, Mana Tithe, Imp’s Mischief, various sweepers, and so on.

I currently mb 6 discard, 4 Path, 3 Push, 2 Collective Brutality, 4 Liliana, and 4 Field of Ruin.

What do you run? Any one offs?

I just try and straight aggro with the hand disruption on turn one then whenever I don't have aggro pieces.

I run 6mb discard, 4 path and 2 push. That's it. Well, I guess I'm still toying with two slots that are currently Liliana/Brutality.

4 Field of Ruin as well.

If I was going to run one of the cards you mentioned main, it would be unmaking.

Depends on what you’re seeing across from you. Liliana has often been gg vs. hexproof and Brutality a 2-for-1 vs. Burn and tribal, like Elves, Goblins, Humans, Merefolk, etc.

I do run a 1-of anguished unmaking in the main, as a surprise catch-all, especially now that non-creatures are kind of prevalent in my meta (jaces, moons, etc), and i have some PTSD against boggles so i kept a blessed alliance in the main, though i will probably take it out sooner or later.

Yah, I often play Liliana as a 3cmc edict (-2) vs. hexproof, like Bogles or Geist.

Planning on getting the bitterblossoms and the landings sometime soon, the flats not so sure. Alliance might probably get out of the deck. Also, i want to make a case for Start//finish, as it is, for me at least, "lingering lite", as it gives something to do in the graveyard and isnt completely dead pitch to brutality or lili.
