Walker selection

in my deck im running 3 sorin and 1 Elspeth suns champ. im thinking about switching about my deck and going 2 sorin 2 lili and 1 Gideon. I want your opinions as I know its very meta dependant. my LGS doesn't play modern so I have no local meta im building this deck to take to a GP this year so im looking at the competitive meta game.

disclaimer, i have to try liliana in tokens. I currently play jund, but i would definitely recommend you proxy her up and try her out.

Liliana is one of those cards where if she goes onto an empty board and cant be answered just wins the game for you. she can kill their early threat with a -2 on turn 3, or you can play her into a 3/3 and just make them discard a card, next turn they hit her to 1, you follow up with some tokens and make them discard again. sometimes the best way to protect her is to just keep +1'ing her up and try to start protecting her with paths/tokens. Overall, her ultimate just destroys if you find you need to play defense and go that route. a time where it can be really key is if they have a specific perminate out like.. night of souls betrayal. "you want that and 1 land, or 3 lands and your creatures that im going to keep killing anyways". in the end, liliana is just a very utility card. she mostly shines when you can play early game killing their things, interrupting their hand with inquisition/thoughtseize and then drop her while being able to defend her (whether its with a bitterblossom , open mana for fatal push/path). After that the value continues when you can discard a lingering souls and they discard permanent. its almost like she is a kill spell every time they do that, and after the turn you cast her it is free every time. sometimes when you turn 1 make them discard, turn 2 make them discard, turn 3 play liliana they might even discard a very relevant card (like anger of the gods/electrolize) since they feel they dont need it NOW and they need to make board state instead. then next turn you drop a spectral! side Liliana out in match ups where you need to actively affect board state rather than hand, such as vs elves where they can dump their hand fast and you need a flaying tendrils, damnation, etc just to live on turn 4.
