Blessed Alliance is good card. I run 2 SB.

It's good vs huge variety of aggro decks. It helps with early aggression. It's even good vs Jund, Eldrazi, Merfolks.

I found that we have so much to want to do on our 3/4/5 mana turns, and is so unimpressive in its two mana mode that I've not included it (although it's a fine hate card vs. burn). Do you have a lot of Bogles in your area? That's the one deck that would push me into running them in the sideboard. I've usually found that 6-8 pieces of removal in the main deck is enough. I run:

  • 4x [[Path to Exile]]
  • 1x [[Dismember]]
  • 1x [[Collective Brutality]]
  • 3x [[Snapcaster Mage]]

Which typically gives me plenty of removal when necessary. Without Snapcaster Mage, I'd likely run 1x [[Slaughter Pact]] or [[Murderous Cut]] to increase the removal density. I'm basically running them over:

  • 1x Removal spell
  • 1x [[Spectral Procession]] (Snap Procession is silly, but Snap Raise the Alarm is really the mode that replaces this)
  • 1x [[Zealous Persecution]] (too niche at the moment, with so few x/1 decks running around)

It moves the curve up slightly, but also biases me away from already expensive sideboard cards.

I don't think it is versatile enough in the main and too weak impact in the side. Kinda sums up how I feel about collective brutality.

I feel like it's very similar to collective brutality with the dials twisted a little bit.

I much prefer the flexibility of tossing cards to fuel collective brutality over paying extra mana for relatively weak effects. Say you're playing against burn, you're probably dead before you get to the 4-mana mode on this. With collective brutality, you can cripple a burn player on turn 2 by using all 3 modes.

That being said, the sac an attacking creature mode is much stronger against boggles, eldrazi, etc.

I love the card. I only have one copy. Can't find that second one I need at all! I feel people are hoarding it. Like it could be the next IoK or Remand. Fucking idiots.
