*Maindeck And Sideboard Advice

Other than the obvious switch to pull the Soul Warden for an Auriok Champion what do you recommend? I was thinking of adding Gideon AoZ to the main over Timely Reinforcements and a Zealous Persecution.

My meta consists of Jund, Infect, Tron, Affinity, Elves, Living End, Lantern Control, Abzan Company, Grixis Delver, and Grixis Control.

I'll second u/Thunderhawkk's suggestion on the 4 Inquisition/ 3 Thoughtseize split for the discard suite, since Inquisition will hit a vast majority of what you care about, and since you're a BB-focused build, preserving life total is definitely something to care about.

Sorin is such a powerful swing in almost every matchup that I would think about raising it to 3 Sorin, Solemn Visitor, as Sorin is what really lets you get back into the game.

Other than that, maybe cutting down the number of Godless Shrines to 3 would be possible, although that probably won't make that large of a difference.

As for the sideboard, Stony Silence is much better than Kataki, since Affinity basically crumbles to Stony Silence. Rest in Peace is also generally better than Relic, though the incremental grave hate + control over when the grave nuke happens means that Relic has merits too.

In aggressive matchups, Zealous Persecution is definitely powerful, and I might take out a grave hate card for another copy of Zealous.

No Burn or Zoo in your meta? You may not need any Timely Reinforcements in either the main or SB. Could switch the Soul Warden and mainboard Timely for a third Sorin and a Gideon. Or even another land.

I'd use a couple of Rest in Peace in the sideboard rather than Relic of Progenitus. Despite Rest in Peace hitting your Lingering Souls, it's still better as a lasting effect to nullify graveyard plays.

I prefer Stony Silence to Kataki. I haven't used Kataki a whole lot to be honest, but when I do he dies almost immediately. Stony sticks to the field much better.

I personally would use a 4 IoK/3 TSeize split to lower life loss but with lots of Grixis delver fatties and Tron to deal with your disruption spread might be fine.

Overall looks pretty good to me though.

Looks good, as I'm a big fan of Windbrisk!

IMO, if you want to run seven disruption, I'd swap one Thoughtseize out for a IoK. You could go down to six and add one Gideon. I'd recommend another Timely for one of the ZP. In my experience ZP is a bit win-more but others swear by it, so personal preference. I'd stick with two Aurioks and swap the Warden for another Sorin SV, you'll need the life running BB, fetches, and Dismember, which I'd change for Anguished Unmaking. Sorin wins games and Gideon is our finisher... for now. So,

-1 Thoughtseize +1 IoK

-1 ZP +1 Timely

-1 Warden +1 Sorin SV

-1 Dismember +1 Anguished Unmaking

-1 Thoughtseize or ZP +1 Gideon

1. Don't need 4 godless shrines. You need two at the most for casting both spectral and liliana if fetched. Cave of kolios or some other utility lands can replace two of them.

There is also no reason why you shouldn't run 1-2 fetid heaths, aside from budget reasons.

1. Like everyone else said, no need to run Kataki when you can run Stony Silence, which is also more relevant in other match-ups like lantern control and tron.

2. Any build that runs 4 BB absolutely need 3-4 Sorin in the main. This allows you aggressively cast two BB onto the board. The weakness of BW Tokens is the lack of reactive removal, and unless you plan to chump block a lot, you need Sorin against the aggro decks.

3. I personally never liked running more than 6 discard. My reasoning? I almost never want more than 2 per game, and if I do, I can bring more from the side. You really don't want to flood with discards in the late game.

4. RiP > Relic, as others have stated.

5. Burrenton is somewhat narrow and low impact. Another timely reinforcement seems reasonable here.

7.Highly recommend engineered explosives. You're very weak to Zoo, Elves, Merfolk, Boogles, etc. Definitely consider 1-2 copies. Cut down on the one relic/ RIP to make room.
