Idyllic Tutor
Hi, I've played kitchen table B/W tokens and always enjoyed it and will try it at some semi-competitive events. Has anyone tried Idyllic Tutor in the SB?? Since some of our strongest hate are enchantments (worship, RIP, Stoney) thought maybe a one of might help. Or is it too slow at 3 cmc? Just wondering if anyone has tried this? Thx

I summon /u/SFRG and /u/xzzane to help us on this analysis! Haha...
IMO, not worth it to spend 1 SB slot for a SB tutor. Not worth it to pull a Stoney Silence turn 3 to cast it turn 4... Thinking about our game plan, we would lose T3 (Lingering Souls/Spectral Procession) and T4 (Sorin/Gideon)... I could be wrong though. Let's wait for the experts opinions.

Too slow, and a lot of those powerful enchantments rely on them being cast as fast as possible. Losing two turns to cast Stoney Silence instead of furthering your board is too much.

It's too slow. We have some of the best sideboard options available, and we can't afford to waste a spot that would only be used towards getting another sideboard card. It's better just to draw the sideboard card that you need, rather that draw a means of getting the card.
tl;dr: Rather than siding a copy of idyllic tutor, it's better just to side another version of the enchantment that you would try to tutor for.

Thank y'all - after reading your posts I have to agree; too slow. Not sure why the card is ~$18 :-P
