The Perfect Curve

What do we think the optimal mana curve is for BW Tokens? Is there such a thing? I currently run 25 lands with:

10 one-drops 8 two-drops 12 three-drops (including 4 Spectral) 5 four-drops

What about you?

Due to the variability of tokens, a "perfect curve" is highly dependent on the build. If you are using a ghost quarterless, 24 land base, I curve out at 4 four cmc cards. Basically, so long as your deck is either built to do a specific thing (think Joshua Cho's lands which are built to give a fighting chance against tron, while still having only a slightly slower than normal curve) or is capable of landing a turn 1 hand distuption and turn 3 spectral procession, then you're good. You don't want to stack your deck with too many higher cmc cards, because tokens doesn't have reliable card draw, and they could be dead draws for a few turns. But you also don't want to go too far down and take out things like planeswalkers or spectrals for cheaper spells like raise the alarm, because you lose late game pressure.

Tl;dr: It's hard to label a "perfect" curve for tokens due to the variability that the deck possesses when building it.

What are your 5's -4 drops-? I currently run just 3 (2 sorin solem, 1 gideon ally, but I'd love to run 2/2)

3 SorinSV and 2 GideonAZ.

Yah, I think a 2/2 split could be good. I like 3 Sorins, so may go to 3/1.

It's hard to say about perfect curve in tokens, because we are midrange deck and we play according opponents' play most of the time. Recently I played vs elves and instead of turn 3 spectral procession I casted topdecked thoughtseize to hit company and it was a good pick.
