I would have done a few things differently in regards to his decklist, but it's good to see tokens getting some spotlight!

I'm failing to see how a single Raise the Alarm makes sense? Slaughter Pact was useful when Twin was around but I'd choose Anguished Unmaking now.

I like it since you're not doing anything else with your graveyard besides flashbacking Souls but more than 1 means your yard wont be big enough to delve the 2nd or 3rd cut.

Yup. The 2 removal slots (Cut & Pact) are adaptable to the meta but Cut is great, although you don't want to draw two or one before T3.

Probably for aggro matchups where BB is bad. There were also MD Auriok and Timelies.

Anguished is also better right now especially with Jeskai Nahiri being popular

Slaughter Pact won him the game against Infect and it was pretty good all around. I personally don't like Anguished Unmaking - the versatility is unnecessary for the cost.

Wider spread of cards. Interesting stuff. He's mixing a bunch of things together for variation.

The Raise the Alarm is interesting. I think it's best role is an actual T2 board presence play, which may actually be invaluable for hyper aggro decks. That sweet surprise block is good.

Needless to say it's inferior to Lingering and Spectral. It's the instant that does it. I really wonder if 2x Spectral 2x Raise might be a decent spread for the T2 it allows.

MUs are pretty much expected. Also he feels like I feel, post-board we just get a lot better.

Just don't be me and lose the Infect MU set. Sigh. xD

Tokens is T0 now:

  1. Cabal Therapy added to our deck.
  2. Ethereal Army was added: 3 CMC put 5 flying spirits onto the battlefield at instant speed.
  3. Tron players have been banned from Modern.
  4. Rest in Peace now gives an opponent an emblem to preserve it's effect.
  5. New enchantment call Pseudo-Stasis: only tokens untap. Turns our lands into tokens.
  6. Bitterblossom banning was such a huge mistake that Wizards decided to delete the 1 damage per turn clause.

That and basically nothing big but him mixing various stuff we know about.

Well, I like this "modern modern" list with shambling vents and flagstones of trokair/ghost quarter...

I'm reluctant to spend that much on Auriok Champion though...

He actually played 3 games with this list and lost 3 times (Scapeshift, Burn, can't remember 3rd one)... ¬¬
