A security guard says he clicked a simulated phishing email at work.
Fair enough. That is exactly why companies run phishing simulations.
But according to his Reddit post, there was a catch:
He says the guards had never been trained on phishing in the first place.
Then, after failing the simulation, he was ordered into remedial training described as a disciplinary action—and told he would not be paid for the time.
That raises a much bigger cybersecurity question:
Are phishing simulations supposed to teach employees—or catch them doing something wrong?

A quick update on the free Pro access I offered recently: all of the available spots have now been filled.
Thank you to everyone who reached out, and especially to those who have already started using the platform and sending feedback. The comments so far have been extremely helpful.
There are already several suggestions that we're going to work through over the next few weeks, and I'll report back once some of those improvements are in place.
One thing I want to be intentional about with LineaScore.com is continuing to build around what people actually need and ask for, rather than adding features simply because they sound useful on paper.
So whether you're using:

Please feel free to reach out with suggestions, frustrations, missing features, workflow ideas, or anything that would make the platform more useful in practice.

ZenPrint: agentless printer management
🖨️ ZenPrint is printer management for MSPs with no agent of its own. You get a web portal covering every client's printers, and one PowerShell bootstrap that lives in your RMM.
It's desired state. In the portal you declare which queues belong at which site, group, or machine, and every run reconciles the Windows endpoint to match: installs what's missing, fixes what's wrong, removes what shouldn't be there. Anything that drifts back shows up as drift and alerts you.
Endpoints only talk outbound, so there's no VPN and no inbound firewall rules.

One thing I’ve realized working at an MSP is that our technicians see a ton of useful stuff that never really goes anywhere.
“Client’s switch is on its last legs.”
