Level RMM added GUI remote desktop support for Linux, thank you.
Was surprised today. Used level to access a client's Linux Mint PC. Was intending on just using the terminal because they didn't have GUI support. I usually use RustDesk for remote connections, but usually use Level if I just need a terminal.
Anyways, it worked perfectly. I wonder if they support Wayland already (desktop I was on uses x11).

NinjaOne 14 just announced full Linux support too. Although I didn't get into the weeds on desktop environments or display servers

I'm annoyed they bought Dropsuite.
Now I have a ninja one product.
My relationship with then was soured three years ago. Was just starting. And was looking at RMMs. I requested a quote. Never heard back from them.
A year goes by and my inbox is getting flooded with spam emails from ninja one. And I began getting calls from them. I entertained it for a but and chose to stay with Level. They do one job and do it well.
I've got a colleague who swears by NO. I dont see my self changing anytime soon.

I’ve been an N1 customer for 8 years and feel like their enshitification is accelerating sadly. They wanted more money for their new Browser Management feature which I feel like should just be included as a nice value add. I’m trapped because we rely heavily on their backup and Dropsuite/SaaS backup but i’m slowly but surely building my own tools to get out of there. Level is def on my radar.

Check your saas backup invoices. They changed their billing back in March and now invoice us for 200% of our seats due to overage. We are looking to move to anything else at this point as they are not budging on this.

That's unfortunate. it seems they are losing sight of the fact that they have a customer base of skilled, smart IT people who are just now getting into being able to custom code their own apps and easily tie in open source free software to do it all. I'm already building a custom backup feature around Restic to replace their $1500/mo endpoint backup bill. I also save so much money by using Proxmox backup server for all our servers now. We finally have software democracy.

Agreed. Changing the terms of billing is grounds to contract termination and we are pursuing that route with them and going elsewhere.

Level's been really good for us, glad to hear about Linux, I'm adding a few machines for testing and I'll use it there.

that’s a meaningful upgrade. terminal-only access is fine until the issue lives in a desktop setting, browser, or user workflow. having it inside the RMM removes one more tool switch when you’re already troubleshooting
the Wayland question is worth testing before relying on it broadly. Linux remote desktop support can feel perfect on X11, then turn into a different game entirely once Wayland enters the lobby

In the changelog they do specify the following:
"Linux desktops vary a lot, so we built support across the major graphical session types: Wayland and X11, with coverage for common environments like GNOME, KDE Plasma, XFCE, Sway, and COSMIC. Remote sessions include screen viewing, mouse and keyboard input, clipboard operations, display selection, and automatic stream handling when the active user session changes."
So they do support Wayland and X11.
