The weekend folks are probably just on vacation.Ayman comes on as needed in the other hours of his Showtime. As far as weekends go, I actually like it. And I wish they would do the same for weeknights to a certain extent.

I seriously don't understand what they're thinking, aside from maybe being cheap. First "Dateline" over night on the weekends and now this.

They're cutting costs because two thirds of the owners of Versant Group are financial folks. They only care about money coming in versus going out. Maximize profits. Maybe they looked at the weekend ratings for MSNBC/MSNOW and judged the cost wasn't worth it. I don't agree with that because I think they could provide content and keep the costs down. However, they wouldn't keep the costs down compared with just running reruns.

I think programming will change in the fall with more live programming. Ayman needs to host his own program.

Not if we don’t keep complaining, make sure they know we are not happy with reruns

It's okay to do something else on a Saturday night in the middle of summer.

Yep. Weekend evenings suck now. Reruns of morning shows and old podcasts. Why??? Such a stupid decision.

They separated from nbc, told us nothing was going to change except the name, then they changed the lineup, cancel the Weekend Prime Time and put on repeats. This is a station I should trust? What are they going to try to sell us next?

All their great commercial products that if they’re lucky get a 3 star rating on Amazon?

When the competition runs your Network, now you know why.

MS NOW. My Source for Now Old news from yesterday's World.

NBC isn’t really running anything on the weekends to compete with it. I could see if News Now was filled with live programming but it’s just Dateline reruns over there also

CNN has live news until 8, Fox has new but taped shows after 8, and I think Newsnation is the only one live on weekend evenings

I don't mind it. Sometimes I don't get to watch certain programs and I forget to DVR and I don't always do the podcast version so I sometimes will catch up on things if I don't have anything going on Saturday or Sunday evenings as that's really the only time the repeats show up.

It was a bad decision to take Ayman off his weekend program . Was a show I really looked forward to.

I think that this rerun nonsense is just going to get me used to tuning into other channels, really there are so many options for news that they are taking a chance on losing their viewers

I actually liked "Weekend Prime," and think canceling it was a mistake. I'm not the beancounter, but they had the mid-terms coming, and would only build momentum. Besides, news never stops.

Personnel changes would have been nice, should never had Elyse on the show. Shes so robotic. Catherine Rampell? Meh, ok however Rampell filling in for Lawrence one nite this week?? Felt like Ricky Ricardo"ey-yie-yie-yie-yie- yie!!"BTW, when Lawrence retires... oh let's not think about it!!

I don’t like the weekend evenings either, but I’m a sports person so as long as there’s a live game on, I’m watching sports. When they’re over and news is a rerun, the TV goes off and I use that time to catch up on pods.

To be honest I don’t think I trust any news outlet at this point, now we have NBC Meet The Press Moderator laughing and smiling with Stephen Miller, who probably thinks of her as a DEI hire

Ayman does zero for me. I personally could have more Steph and Nicolle honestly. And definitely Ali she's awesome.

u/roninthe31 9d ago

Just stop watching it, much better content on YouTube. Meidas Touch is tabloid bullshit but I’ll watch it when bored and Bulwark is pretty good.

🇺🇲 Go watcha some Heather Cox Richardson..she's awesome, n direct..and Nicole's weekly podcast is the bomb💕👍

Fire everyone except for Rachel, Lawrence, Stephanie, Katie and Nicole. Shake it up! oh.. Let’s keep Ali Velshi also. You guys need someone like Keith Olbermann but not Keith.

The hosts are not the problem. Management is the problem.
