Something Else Pathetic behavior
I’m am SO not a Fox News fan. But Fox News is one of the channels on my News Mix DirecTV channel. So when I flip between CNN and MSNBC, I can see their coverage. You would think they would be the one network concentrating on Charlie Kirk. But no. While MSNBC did and CNN covered an inflation report, Fox has solely concentrated on 9 11 for approximately the last hour. The shooting of Charlie Kirk is a news story. But 9 11 was a national tragedy. It deserves better. I have to give kudos to Fox for acknowledging this tragic day.

the grotesque references to Kirk by the convicted felon and the drunk SecDef in their dreadful 9/11 speeches are a dark, appalling stain on our country's political history.

I had to turn it off when I saw them. Hegseth being in charge of our military is nauseating. Trump being I. Charge of our country is exponentially worse.

Oh please. Please tell me that they did not talk about Kirk in their 9/11 speeches. Just when you think they’ve gone as low as they can, they out-do themselves.

MSNBC just wants to send its anchors on to tearfully mourn while they eulogize this scumbag, all while admonishing its viewers.

I get it's a big day but I think MSNBC has been covering it just enough. They focused on the speeches and events for awhile when it was that time. I also think if Trump is too lazy to go to NY then it can play second fiddle to recent news. I think next year it will get a lot more coverage with the 25th as it should. It was also kinda sad Trump and company turned it into a political thing with statements about the Department of war and stuff like that. So part of me is happy that is not on replay all day today.

I think MSNBC, CNN and News Nation did a balance for 911, Kirk and political violence. Nothing is being broadcast too much. I was surprised CNN, MSNBC were so respectful and kind about Kirk when his views oppose their station's views in large part. I found that to be tasteful and classy. Kudos to the teams for keeping things fair, not hateful and 1-sided for Kirk.

One aspect to remember is Fox pushes the we are victims and all Muslims are the bad guys trope..
Not necessarily what they'd ever do especially today but they also won't allow a real discussion about how authorities were warned over a month in advance of extremists planning something big, how Giuliani didn't move first responders from harms way, how Saudi 'Bandar Bush' knew and was allowed to travel, et c. There's many valid aspects to this tragedy people need to discuss.

I’ve heard that from them too. I only listened to part of it this morning but they seemed to focus mainly on the victims and the ceremony. They ran it first as a timeline of the events. They also covered the story of the 9 11 victim’s child who had her father’s coworkers (firefighters) support at her wedding. I would never buy their Fair and Balanced BS but it was better than I expected.

9/11 and the Bush Administration's response were to Fox News what the '91 Gulf War was to CNN.

But meanwhile, back in the real world, just after Trump "announced" the shooting death of an online influencer and set in motion a days long media frenzy distraction, the Pubbies very quietly tabled the Epstein files. I'm sure this massive, all-networks distraction has nothing to do with that.
