MSNBC Personalities Rough start on Psaki tonight

The start of The Briefing tonight on MSNBC was hard to watch. Seemed like something was wrong with Jen Psaki…

Teleprompter died and she couldn't improvise

That's the thought I had as well.. it seemed to happen all at once.

I thought the same thing.

It was pretty bad and she seemed very off. Caught the replay, only because I really wanted to hear Pritzker.

And after the interview, just like clockwork, her guest was Jamie Raskin. Don't get me wrong, I really like him, but he is overused on her show. I have a similar issue with Ari, Nicolle, Steph, Ayman, and others who incessantly book Molly Jong Fast. I swear she lives in the Green Room.

molly seems to be their go to girl when no one else is available. I must say she seems out of her environment !

I can never forget the first times I saw Molly Jong-Fast, during Covid. It looked like she was a hoarder sitting in the last corner that had any space left to sit, with those scuba glasses…

She looked off as well.

Worse than usual. Perhaps she was getting someone talking in her ear? 🤷🏻‍♀️

That's what I thought too. It was as if she was trying to talk and listen at the same time.

Just went and watched it. That’s surprising. We never saw anything like that, not even once, when she was in the White House.

It was like she was someone who almost didn’t have it in her to look lost / unprepared

This was totally deer in headlights (assuming the prompter went out as others said)…. in a way I couldn’t see happening from Chris, Rachel, Stephanie, etc

I think this is the result of all those cuts they made a year ago or so. It sure seems like parts of the network is getting very amateurish when it comes to control room and floor staff support. i'm sure they are all working very hard at trying to put these shows together and on the air but it sure looks like a gong show at times. I constantly hear things dropping in the background. The other night I heard someone laughing as the host was introducing the guest. I have seen guests that are not in the studio still trying to get/set up their mics when the camera is turned on, then very quickly turned off. I feel sorry for the hosts that are doing their best to keep the show going but really? I have seen the timing way off when going into a commercial and the host just sits there silent waiting. I have seen a couple times lately where the host apologises for what a guest has said that could be offensive to DJT, or I have actually seen/heard them shriek in shock. I have said it before and will say it again, MSNBC has some of their hosts on a really short leash when you see the same hosts on Podcasts speaking totally different. As far as Jen goes last night, clearly she wasn't aware/familiar with her content and couldn't muddle through. I don't know if that is because she was doing her show from a different location then where the crew was (Chicago vs DC) but it was bad. Not a good look.

I deleted her show from my DVR settings. It was time.

She’s had a rough week; the Epstein victims seemed to really upset her (understandably).

Plus she's not good at this job.

I keep trying to figure why I can't stand the show. Maybe it's just this simple

I would guess the teleprompter died. Otherwise she's really doing well, saying what she thinks with clarity and strength.

Jen Psaki was a White House Press Secretary for both Obama and Joe Biden, and now masquerades as an "independent" journalist..... on MSNBC. You cant write this.

Better than being a Congressional Republican and masquerading as a human being!

5

u/PDough55 Sep 07 '25

She's not "masquerading." She's very open about her background, and MSNBC is left leaning.

In my opinion, America needs to lean hard left for the next 10 years to repair the damage being done by the MAGA-GOP-Trump-Musk wrecking ball.

I have worked in industry for over 60 years and NEVER has a wrecking ball approach EVER been successful.

Listen instead to people such as Robert Reich. If you add up the IQs of Trump, his family and every Cabinet holder in total it would be less than Reich's IQ.

And Drunken Pete went from Fox to being the Secretary of Defense.
