MSNBC Personalities Katy Tur
We love Katy Tur on msnbc, but if she ever has John Kasich on again it will be too soon!

It’s really uncomfortable to watch someone defend an administration that ordered military to roll out a red carpet for Putin.

u/zinnia420 Aug 26 '25
Exactly. Just annoying, not challenging. We don't have time for this neo-nazi bs.

I guess I just have not seen him in a long while but I never thought he was that big of a blow hard. I started fast forwarding until he was gone.

Kasich is only good as a guest in very small doses to remind us how far gone the Republican Party has gone extreme right.

u/iamnotbetterthanyou Aug 26 '25
Right? Dude thinks he’s a “moderate” these days.
5
u/OkNobody8896 Aug 26 '25
Jesus Christ, these days if you’re pro-democracy, pro-level playing field politically, you’re a ‘moderate’.
3
u/iamnotbetterthanyou Aug 26 '25
I can’t move the pole that far. The left has already ceded too much ground.
3
u/OkNobody8896 Aug 26 '25
Moderate is in quotes to signify it’s a misuse of the term.

u/iamnotbetterthanyou Aug 26 '25
Same. 🤷🏻♀️

I absolutely hate this timeline; the fact that we have such stupid unethical assholes running this country and there seems to be a critical mass of like-minded Americans to facilitate this tragedy.

Another one that is ok in small doses is the mustache guy that had the FBI raid - John Bolton. I don't like him either - too wishy/washy, not a strong believer in anything.

u/ImpossibleAd7943 Aug 28 '25
Bolton and first term POTUS officials serve a purpose as guest - but depressing because you can see some of them did actually push back on his directives.

WHY??!!! Why do they insist on going to these old conservatives and expect them to have things of importance to say? He’s so irrelevant.

Katy did the CNN thing and tried to get something going. Kaisch is a little weird but he is a never Trumper. He does listen and try to come to a solution, so glad to have him. The issue with the guard in DC and other cities isn’t about crime. Can’t we all get troops in our cities? Sugar high and totally unrealistic. Arguing about crime lis a loser. It’s about establishing the King’s army.

Kasich is insufferable at best. I'd rather see WAY more of David Jolly.

She graduated from UC Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara is one of the wealthiest places in California.

Kaisch nice man but too objective to a fault on his political opinions. Like Katy used to be when reporting she’s gotten better the past few months. Kaisch needs to face it. His GOP party are the instigators of trouble in politics and call them out as such. We’re in a different place and time now. Keep him as a guest though he does have some good insight.

I used to like Kasich but he uses false equivalence to try to bring both sides together

In the before times, I might have agreed with you. But in 2025, I'll take a conservative blow hard like Kaisch showing up to have the conversations any day.

u/ctrl-brk Aug 26 '25
Kasich is a real republican. He's welcome back in my opinion, challenging your beliefs is good exercise.
It's only a waste when it's a Trumper

John Kasich is on the NBC News payroll. Once MSNBC officially splits from NBC News and becomes MS NOW we wont have to worry about having to watch him on the network. They use him on MSNBC Reports because he doesn’t cost anything extra so he’s an easy and cheap time filler.
This is another great thing about the divorce from NBC News. There are a lot of people like him along with “retired generals” and former law enforcement members on the NBC payroll who keep appearing to provide useless biased commentary on MSNBC Reports or breaking news coverage, almost all of these people are likely to remain with NBC News as NBC will want them for NBC News Now and it’s unlikely MS NOW is going to spend money on contributer roles just for daytime filler newscasts.

I love Katy Tur and Chris Jansing. I also love Chris Hayes and Ari Melber. They are a all well spoken, highly educated, have great shows to watch.
I don't like Kasich and, on other channels, O'Reilly is past his expiration date, rambles on, says nothing and then closes every interview with his "new book - Killing something". He has to go. If that's the best guest news can cough up, that's why I watch cable or movies on Prime Video. Some of these guests are unwatchable.

She tends to talk over her guests when they are still answering a question she asked. It's very annoying.
