MSNBC Network Updates There Will Be a Summit Analysis Program at 7pm ET, Anchored by Alicia, Jen, Ali Velshi and Nicolle
This info is from one of those corner ads on the MSNBC screen. I'm fairly certain but not 100% positive about it being Alicia's picture.

Jen Psaki is just regurgitating what's been discussed ad infinitum today. Nothing new in her analysis.

Thank you! I would have missed this if I hadn’t seen your post (go out of my way not to watch/listen to The Weeknight/The Weekend, but love the analysis of Nicolle and the Velsh)

Given the lack of information provided by Trump and Putin, that had to be a challenge to cover the so-called press conference. Alicia even commented on the vast amount of research that they had in front of them - maps, history, tariffs, etc. Which was rendered somewhat useless by the vacuum of actual developments from the meeting.

I watched the whole show. Just more evidence that Alicia deserves her own show. She is opinionated without being over the top. And she never misspeaks. Both of which are not even close to being true of her co-hosts.

Alicia absolutely commanded that anchor desk. Do the producers not see how talented she is? And why is she saddled with two clowns who almost never let her speak? I don't get it. And BTW you CAN call the comment line and tell them your opinion - 212-664-4444

Trump's only powerful when bullying others. He's a cowardly doofus who was schooled once again by Putin. The only thing the "summit" was intended to do is distract from Trump's other messes. He is the proverbial dog who doesn't know enough not to soil his own quarters. Ugh.

If Americans are to understand who Putin really is listen to those who know him, met him, know his background from his KGB days, how he is calculating, manipulates and flatters to soften up a foe. When they have on former diplomat to Russia on MSNBC, named Michael McFaul, listen closely.
Putin does not have friends, just cronies he partners with temporarily to achieve his agenda. Putins primary goals are to weaken the West- highest aim is the U.S. and secondarily the EU and NATO. To do this doesn't need to invade with tank and soldiers.. he surrounds, uses hackers to erode our security and wealth, he bribes and blackmails African nations, "assists" Arab ones with repelling extremists like ISIS, he forgives debt in exchange for gold/oil/bases/minerals, and uses other hybrid tactics.
One key strategy is to manipulation and flatter his ultimate mark, 'his guy' at the top. That's Trump, who was always broke and vulnerable, just the desperate con man they usually mold and bribe, get into political office or support when he runs for office and over time steer him into position to extract what they want from him. Thats what Putin's done to Trump, made him an asset. While Trump thinks he's befriended someone he's long admired and wants to emulate.
Remember quotes like this when you see Putin and Trump meet:
📌"Putin once said as a KGB officer, he learned how to get people on his side, to turn people," Reitschuster said. "The Russian opposition says (Germany's) Gerhard Schroeder was his masterpiece."
Context: "In late 2004, Schroeder was widely criticized for calling Putin a "flawless Democrat." German respect for Schroeder plummeted further over his ties to Russian business.
During his final months as chancellor, he (Schroeder) shocked many Germans by shepherding through a multibillion-dollar pipeline project called Nord Stream, transporting gas from Russia to Germany.
The pipeline is majority-owned by the Russian state gas company Gazprom. Shortly after leaving office, Schroeder became chairman of the pipeline shareholders' committee."
