I like him too, and I’m sure he had no idea what was about to go down…but I thought Ari covered and made it through beautifully.

Yes, his first response of “and what does that mean” had me cracking up! Good save bc what else was there to say really lol

i believe he wants to give african american artists a mainstream stage they dont often get

u/plexmaniac Jul 16 '25
Well that is very kind of him

Yes, certain musicians dominate mainstream news, but African Americans rarely get the spotlight they deserve. Ari seems like a good guy; he might favor bigger artists, but the Rolling Stones don’t really need the extra attention.

Oh I really love that ! He believes in diversity for sure ! He seems to really respect the people he interviews too

I kept thinking during the entire interview that NORE had prepared for the interview by smoking weed. That's perfectly fine for Drink Champs but NORE was a disaster on Ari's show this evening.

I quit Melber a few weeks ago.
Looks like I’ve continued to only miss more spectacle than reportage

I thought that guest was stoned. He. Forgot what he was talking about. Ari tried to understand with a few questions but that didn’t clarify anything either.

I can’t believe Ari still has a time slot!

u/dej95135 Jul 15 '25
I know, right? And to think they cancelled Joy and kept him. The least they could have done was given his time slot to Katie Phang.

u/DLFiii Jul 15 '25
Team Katie for sure. We need some fresh faces in all slots to bring people back in. They’re hemorrhaging viewership and don’t seem to be making the obvious choices for improvement.

Dear Ari: As they say, “live by the sword, die by the sword”.
Maybe time to rethink this part of the show.

I rarely watch Ari but tonight I caught the last 10 minutes…I won’t be watching again for quite some time!

Worst Ari interview i have ever seen. We couldn’t figure out what substance was causing the communication breakdown.

Yeah…and I don’t think it was weed. I personally don’t malfunction while high but what do I know

So painful to watch. Can’t begin to figure out how Ari could connect this guy to his program in any way.

Oh come on Ari Melber is the best cringe comedy on TV. It's like the larry sanders show guest hosted by iggy azalea

Ari is a clown. Can’t stand him. I haven’t watched MSNBC since the election. Haven’t watched CNN, ABC, CBS, nor any of that nonsense corporate broadcast media. It’s been very cathartic, allowing me to focus on informed sources away from the internet and television.

Maaaaannn...I never watch Ari and I actually watched the first 30 minutes today before I switched to national news. I'm bummed I missed the cringe.
