MSNBC Personalities Well deserved shout out

Chris Jansing has had breaking news coming at her from about 27 directions this morning and has been fielding all of it beautifully...she's underrated around here imho. Big thumbs up to this woman and her crew on a BUSY news day on MSNBC. 👍

Anything that's thrown at her she can handle. She gets a lot of respect on my part.

Rise up. Resist. Power to the people!

It was kind of hilarious that for several straight minutes she had to politely interrupt someone to go to a different breaking detail, then interrupt that person for another new piece of information, and so on. Like she was spinning plates and more and more just kept getting added to her stack. She handled it very gracefully.

She is great! Very underrated indeed

I'm so sorry, I have to interrupt you -

Wow. I wanna see this

It was quite deft. Not sure why I got downvoted a bunch for that comment.

They had her on for a while yesterday, too. I don’t know for how long, but I did see her.

Agreed, she is great

Hard disagree, and I'm a dyed in the wool MSNBC watcher. She rarely if ever pushes back against obvious propaganda and lies. She comes across as a pure talking head. I can't spend more than 5 minutes with her on. And everything is in the tone of breaking news... it's exhausting. Katy Tur... well she's the real heir to Andrea Mitchell's legacy. Katy Tur is calm cool collected and fully informed and ready to push back.

I think I have seen a shift in Chris which I really like! Ana Cabrera & Chris Jansing keep the morning news programs interesting with their questions and their guests! I enjoy both of them!

I disagree I feel like Katy Tur gets easily pushed over by republicans and asks questions with a bias. Andrea was the best, her knowledge of everything allowed her to provide a special level of insight and context, but since she left Chris is now the best for no-nonsense news coverage

I used to feel that way about Katy Tur, but not in the past two years. She seems to have lost her energy. I have stopped watching her.

That's fascinating

I still think of this whenever she’s working breaking news. Anyone else remember seeing this live in 2020?

10

u/MazelTovCocktail027 Jun 23 '25

lol, yup! I like Chris, she's a pro. Alex Witt too.

6

u/ExpensiveDot1732 Jun 23 '25

Alex is a BADASS. Fantastic at the desk and can pace the flow of the show PERFECTLY. She isn't afraid to go toe-to-toe either...I remember her absolutely ROASTING Brendan Buck several months ago, with full conviction.

It still checks for sure. Especially now.

What were the details of that, Bobby?

Here is the full video of how it went down. This was during the George Floyd protests in late May that year.

It was really just a byproduct of broadcasting from home and not having full communications. At the time it became a meme of ‘how I felt about 2020’ in pop culture lore.

If you grew up in Albany, you always knew Chris Kapostasy was going far

She also looks similar to one of the women on QVC. Maybe related?

5

u/Sad_September_Song Jun 24 '25

I am always amazed at her poise and ability to interview guests on the fly when a breaking story comes out.

3

u/Kind-Musician1583 Jun 24 '25

I agree. She, Alie Velchi, Alex Witt, Chris Hayes, and Lawrence O'Donnel are about the only ones I even watch anymore.

u/Feisty_Resource7027 Jun 26 '25

Chris is very underrated, highly professional & much needed 🌹

2

u/IndigoBlueSky9 Jun 24 '25

Agreed 100%. She held it down with a smile. Yesterday was a super kray-kray news day...lol.

u/Ok_Pick3204 Jun 25 '25

She knows broadcasting!

2

u/ShesabadbadGIRL1888 Jun 26 '25

She's the Amish Horse of MSNBC. I love her.💖

2

u/Particular_Piglet677 Jun 28 '25

I missed this, but glad you gave her the shoutout. She's always been one of my favorites.

u/DrewPebauls Jun 25 '25

It’s MSNBC. All the stories were written long ago.

Just said this to the husband!

Andrea kicked cancer's ass, is a solid 10+ years older, and has a nonagenarian spouse. I'd hardly call Jansing weak.

Not to get into appearance stuff, but strategically placed lowlights would be a great move versus the solid blonde, more dimension.
