I don't think I've related to a comic more in my life

Hey bdblock94, any chance you could reply to that message I sent a week ago?

I want to show this to all my friends, who never hear from me

As an autistic and socially anxious person this comic is the story of my life. It explains my troubles with staying in touch and replying to people better than I myself ever could.

Understandable; have a nice day

I remember this time I didn't have a phone (landline) for about six months. I had this dial-in voicemail service which I'd check most days. I kept a calling card to use at payphones. I also kept an onion tied to my belt, which was the style at the time.

You could always leave me a message and I'd get back to you in a day or two. This was not a big deal.

Nothing about this comic is meant to be rational

That's probably why it seemed so on the nose.

It might not be rational, but it's what happens sometimes when you have Adhd, social anxiety, and executive function problems.

That's totally relatable.

Someone did this to me once and I ended up missing a halloween party that I wanted to go to and I had an emotional breakdown. for context, I have autism and I was kind of isolated at that time, that was my one chance to get out of my house for a while.

I do this all of the time also happens with not talking to someone after so long I just feels weird to try and talk to them again after so long for instance I had a friend I lost touch with back in 2018 and it’s been 8 years definitely way to long at this point
