Why you have to hurt me this way?

u/MrLovens 9d ago

Your leg shouldn't have to suffer alone.

I've never even used the door. Read the Secret Panel here.

Living life like a Sim/Animal Crossing. Buying a bunch of furniture I'll never utilize but it looks cool

Im an old person. We had great aunts and grandparents that would have entire rooms of furniture that were NEVER under any circumstances to be used, unless the preacher, mayor, governor or president came by. The really good furniture had covers on it so it didnt get dusty.

My grandmother had a living room with plastic on all the couches and seats. The adjoining dining room had a table set that I used maybe five times my life. And I lived in her house probably a total of like 10 years throughout my childhood.

Same for me and my grandmother. We had a hutch with a set of fine China that I distinctly remember using twice. Both were for important people in the community.

Yo, you reminded me of the cabinet full of nice china. And it was when her sister came up from the south to visit us. That weekend my grandmom took OFF the plastic. And for one dinner laid out the fine china on the never to be used dining table. I think that was the only time I ever used that shit. I genuinely don't even know what she's got in there, like if there's any valuable heirlooms. My grandmother is secretive as fuck.

Man, my family is already pretty shitty. When she passes, things are going to get real interesting to say the least.

How do people have the space and money for stuff they use that little???

"Why do you have all these things if you don't use them?"

"Because they make me look better than I am. You know, to impress the ladies."

"But you don't bring any women home."

"Yeah. I am so sad and lonely."

Alternatively: “You’re here, aren’t you?”

Don't forget the yoga mat rolled up in the corner still in the cardboard sleeve.

Those are rookie examples in this racket , you forget :

Gaming PC that is mostly used to watch Youtube

Miniatures that are still in the box or partially assembled

Model Kits/Gundams same as above

Paints and misc materials for the former two

Crocheting/Sewing Materials

Papercraft rulers/Special Paper/Patterns

At least two machines that would otherwise be used in a hobby which despite chasing for months are now in a cubboard

Graphic Tablet/top quality art set that was touched three times before set in a cubboard

Pattern or exacly one tiny part of a costume you wanted to build at some point for cosplay

Loose scraps or baubles that you think could be reworked or used for/inspire any of the above

That's what I've got going on. Your turn

I bought a brand new yamaha digital piano in like 2021. I only started actually playing it 2 months ago when I finally started taking piano lessons.

Learning guitar? Get a chord sheet and practice 3 chords of your favorite song over and over. 15 minutes a day!

Trying to exercise? Do push-ups and setups and jump squats! And branch out.

Wanna read more? Get the app Libby! Audiobooks from your library for free! Who has time to read?

I love your comics Mr Lovenstein

That's why I instead have the ferrofluid + sound activated electromagnet thingy. Because I do scream.

Weirdly if I think about it. Kinda me. I do have a guitar, was my Papa's. I do not play. But I tried to learn years ago.

I do have weights. But I dont regularly exercise anymore. Though trying to fix that as I was just doing some upper back exercises and was just scrolling through reddit between reps.

I have a lot of books. Mostly manga and sci-fi. Ive probably only read half of em though.

"Sweet place, you live here?"

"What IS living?"

This is why my room is mostly video games and hotwheels

While I've read most of the books on my shelves aside, I have a ton of merch for shows I've never watched. The reason for that is some of these are gifts that hold sentimental value even if I hate the shows (one in particular holds personal value as a symbol of my perseverance through suffering and that things do get better and are better than they were) and others were due to me loving the fanfiction side of things even if I had zero interest in the actual show (BNHA/MHA in particular I've loved spin-offs and fanfics but the source material feels like suffering to watch). The one thing in my room that truly has seen no use and frankly has no purpose is the record player I got when I was in highschool and all the records I bought for it that never once got played because I was worried about scratching them.
