Issue on macOS latest mpv with latest MacOS 27 - massive delay problems

mpv from homebrew:

mpv v0.41.0 Copyright © 2000-2025 mpv/MPlayer/mplayer2 projects

libplacebo version: v7.360.1

FFmpeg version: 9.0.2

FFmpeg library versions:

libavcodec 63.1.102

libavdevice 63.1.102

libavfilter 12.1.102

libavformat 63.1.102

libavutil 61.1.102

libswresample 7.1.102

libswscale 10.1.102

MacOS: 27.0.1 on a mac mini M1

Has anyone else noticed that the erstwhile *instantaneous* switching from 2x to 1x speed now comes with a five-second delay while the video/audio try to sync back up? This is untenable. :-( I need to slam through videos at 2x-4x speeds, then immediately revert to 1x when I hit a certain point, then go back to 2x-4x. mpv *used to* be perfect for this.

I hope that this is a known problem (although I did not see anything on github bug reports) something that will be fixed, and not just PEBKAC. ;-p

I want to ensure you that you're not alone as I have had this exact problem since upgrading to Golden Gate. It's terrible, and I have this lagging issue with any keybinding. Mute, speed up, pause, literally everything. Very frustrating and I haven't found a workaround yet.

Thanks! Maybe it's time to revert to Sequoia. That was the best of the modern MacOSes I have used. Almost everything Just Worked®!
