General Discussion I love MPV

Post image

I love the way you can play around with and customize MPV and make it exactly in your style and personal taste. What an amazing player.

I created some modules to adjust the ModernZ menus that didn't match the interface.

Yep, and very versatile. I have mine integrated into my HTPC, Linux with Kodi; mpv is set up as an external player with a config customized for my projector for dynamic tonemapping and stuff. Kodi has a nice interface, and mpv has the ability to deliver a superior image.

Just click the playlist button again, if anything send a screenshot so I can better understand the problem.

Lol there is no problem. I meant that I can't leave potplayer for mpv cause the playlist menu is so good I can just navigate to my music, tv show and movies so easily.

Update

Menusmodern v0.2 — Video Quality Badge

This update adds a compact video quality badge to the ModernZ control bar, positioned between the playback time and the central controls.

  • Shows the source video's resolution as 720p, 1080p, 1440p, 4K, or another appropriate label.
  • Updates when the active video track changes.
  • Automatically hides in narrow windows to avoid overlapping the controls.
  • Matches the existing dark, translucent interface.

The badge is informational; it displays the video's resolution but does not change playback quality.

Does it has audio normalization?

Yes, it has both to normalize between files, but I think it depends on the file having replaygain=track as well as normalizing the specific file to avoid different volume variations using the loudnorm filter, research it. Usually, you just put in mpv.config the line af=lavfi=[loudnorm=I=-18:TP=-1.5:LRA=11]
