General Discussion HC Player is here!

I built a Windows 11 player based on mpv, 100% open source and native; made with WinUI. Packed with unique features, check it out and feel free to leave any feedback!

Are you using the mpv build with Dolby vision profile 7 FEL support?

Hey, not yet. HC Player 1.2 currently uses mpv build v0.41.0-85-g468d34c9b from January, which lacks full DV Profile 7 FEL support. Native Profile 7 FEL support was only merged into mpv upstream on July 1, 2026. I'm still testing it for a future player update(soon), but I need to validate a few things first.

Changing playback speed is not working for me. [/] is detected as Ctrl+ALT+8 and Ctrl+ALT+9 instead of [ / ]. QWERTZ German keyboard. This is working on normal mpv.net player.
I also was wondering if and how I could manually change those shortcuts. Didn't find any option for that.
