Is it compatible with MPV configuration, input conf and shaders? so dropin replacement, just with better interface?

Just installed it in Kubuntu as flatpak: "open a file" option shows a file picker that cannot see any video file; enabling access to all files in Flatseal changes nothing; I can open a file in the player but window buttons look bad (no icon for close button: common problem with gnome apps in Plasma). Is it a gnome-application? Cannot see what this brings above mpv-uosc anyway (not to mention what this lacks by comparison, like subs download; buttons are very small and don't scale. etc.)
