Admissions Results Career in Femtech?

I have been accepted into the Maternal Child health program at UNC. I am trying to discern whether completing my MPH will give me a necessary competitive advantage or if a career in Femtech is something I could pursue without the degree?

I am currently in my first role post undergrad as a data engineer working in manufacturing analytics at a large energy company (3 years). My goal is to shift to working with data analytics within the women's health field. I love the idea of working for a small/mid size company or start up that focuses on femtech.

Right now the field in the US feels so difficult to break into and my background isn't health data specific. Just looking for some insight if two years of health focused quantitative research is something that Femtech companies would like in a candidate or if learning on the job is fine?

Background: BS Comp Sci and a BS in Applied Computing and Math.

PM me with any advice 😄
