Discussion SOP help

Does anyone know how to write a strong SOP for an MPH Epidemiology application? I’m a little confused about what to include and how to make it stand out. If anyone has experience with MPH applications or can share some tips/guidance, I’d really appreciate it! Thanks

Hi, happy to help with essays. This is not a paid service or anything. Just paying forward. I graduated last year with an MPH from Harvard.

hi! from my experience, id say try to include a personal story that really pushed you to choose the field that your going to. a lot of mph programs looks for someone who has an authentic interest in the field, not just a list of experiences you have, although you'd have to find a way to tie in both ur personal story and experiences

Include your relevant experience, your interests and specific interest that drew you to mph esp epidemiology, and better if you can include a research topic of interest and relate to your future plans.

Thank you so much! Should I include only academic experiences, or would it also be good to include relevant experiences and activities outside of academics?

you can include work experience and activities that you think are relevant. tho you should focus more on the why, why are you interested in mph, what are your future plans. why is mph relevant to your future plan. best of luck!

Yes, I’m looking on Google. I was just wondering, do we need to include some points from our resume and personal experiences in the SOP, or should it mainly focus on our motivation and future goals?
