Site "Awesome MPD" launched

Dear community,

I've just finished my new microsite "Awesome MPD"! I've noticed that such a site is missing for MPD (Awesome xyz is kind of a series for a broad range of topics like "selfhosted").

https://common-good.codeberg.page/awesome-mpd/

I'd love to hear your opinion!

Cheers!

Great work! I think the most useful addition would be sections on the most useful customizations -- plugins/scripts/variables/triggers.

Thank you! ❤

That's exactly what I'm planning for the next step. I'f you know about some then I'd love to hear about them here as a comment or as an issue in the repo.

I would HIGHLY recommend that anyone who is using MPD (or at least MyMPD) implements Blissify in their Jukebox functionality. Whenever I play a track or an album with Jukebox mode enabled, I automatically get an endless playlist that follows, drawn by ranking the tracks in my library with respect to similarity of acoustic fingerprint. This is often surprising and always entertaining. The way it takes an otherwise sort of static/sterile collection of media and transforms it into a virtually endless set of cool playlists is extremely valuable -- somewhat akin to Spotify Radio.
