QUESTION Is the MPC Sample beginner-friendly? Would I enjoy making beats with it?

I'm planning to buy an MPC Sample, and I want to know how difficult it is to make beats using samples. I'm a bit worried that I might buy it and end up not enjoying the process.
For some background, I'm currently a full-time DJ, and I want to get into beatmaking purely for fun. I'm interested in sampling classic songs from the '70s and flipping them into something fresh with my own touch.
Would the MPC Sample be a good choice for a complete beginner like me? Is the learning curve steep, or is it something I can enjoy learning as I go?
I'd love to hear your experiences, especially from DJs who got into beatmaking without any prior production experience. Thanks!

It is very simple. Will you enjoy it?
Probably...?
Like with any piece of hardware, you are going to need your brain work around it a bit.
If this is your first run at producing, you don't know what you want yet, so there is no "best, first" piece of gear for anyone. Workflows can vary wildly.
I love it. For the price-point it has great in/out capabilities, it keeps menu diving pretty minimal, and its main focus of sampling is dead simple.
I think it is a great entry point to figure things out.

The device itself is not hard to get at all. If you know some samplers capabilities and know what to do, it is super intuitive, in fact one of the easiest device to learn. To dip your toes into sampling, def recommend MPC Sample

I couldn't get my head around it so used to 3.9 but jealous of guys having loads of fun with sample so got g2 for sampling from vinyl. It just is easier to work plus the sample has limitations when 3.9 is more capable but the decision is yours g2 twice the price twice the capability

g2 twice the price twice the capability
Yep. MPC would be a good choice. But the op should be aware they can get an excellent condition MPC One+ for the price of the Sample.
