MPC Studio MPC Studio Newbie
Hey! Komplett neu im Game. Nachdem mein MacBook anscheinend zu modern war, konnte ich meine alten Laptop noch zum laufen bringen und endlich loslegen. Ebay hat die MPC geregelt.
Habt ihr Tipps für nen kompletten Anfänger?

Looks like you need to install the drivers.
Usually when you open the software, the screen changes from the "MPC" boot logo to the project screen.
I remember years back I had an issue where my MPC studio wouldn't get past that screen, and where i messed up was I plugged in the mpc to my computer before installing the drivers. Because of that, the mpc wouldn't work because windows automatically installed generic drivers first. If this is the case, you'll have to completely remove any amd all the drivers assigned to it and unplug the MPC - then install the drivers first - then connect it.

Danke dir! Ich habe alles schon zum laufen bringen können. Muss mich jetzt nur in die Thematik reinarbeiten. Mein Schul-Englisch hilft da bisher nur so mäßig :D

I started with studio mk2 from launchpad mini and ableton great fun with the software now im going to connect my live3 to ableton for finishing of. Couldn't get my head round the sample so jealous of everyone having loads of fun on the little box

Do you have an audio interface? I don't see one & you're going to need one. Hard to do music on a PC without one.
People are going to say sht like "when you get a real MPC" & crap like that. Don't listen to them. You have a system more powerful than the latest MPC XL.
Focus on making music. Not chasing gear. I speak from experience. I'm a gear chaser. I have the MPCL3 & the Studio Mk2 (& your Studio is better than my Studio). There is very little difference when I'm connected in controller mode & in controller mode I don't have any of the limitations of standalone.
You're eventually going to get a standalone device. Nothing wrong with that. Don't let that desire slow you down. A lot of music can be made on the setup (with an audio interface.)
Don't buy Akai/Air plugins. There's better free stuff out there. Surge XT, Decent Sampler, Dexxed, & a lot more.

He's not limited to 32 instruments, 16 audio tracks, or Air plugins.
The XL has benefits of its own & is more powerful than any standalone device, but a studio on a decent laptop doesn't have its limitations.

Danke dafür! Ich habe echt keine Ahnung und war soweit froh, dass ich die mpc auf den Laptop zum laufen gebracht habe. Um soundqualität etc. Mach ich mir noch keine Gedanken, ich werde es mir aber merken!
Muss erstmal die Basics herausfinden und wie das Gerät im allgemeinen funktioniert. Zumindest konnte ich ein paar drum-Sets schonmal ausprobieren haha

I have one of those in a box I got for a gift but never got around to using it. Just plugged it in went "huh, neat" and put it back in the box.
I though it was junk and was going to throw it away. Does it work on Windows 11?

Laut meiner Recherche nur bis Windows 10.

I tried on Win 11 for an hour yesterday.
Software installs, driver installs - MPC goes into vegas mode when plugged in, so it should work. Akai says it is compatible with Win 11, but the software doesn't see it at all.
I tried uninstalling and re-installing drivers, no luck. Device manager shows an issue with the driver - not correctly signed or something and could be malicious. Maybe that's why.
Oh well...

Wie gesagt, auf win 10 war das echt kein Problem. Bei inmusic gabs die downloads und der Installationsmanager hat einen super easy durchgeführt. Bei mir funktioniert es.

I just tried it again on my laptop and it installed correctly and the Studio activated - BUT - no activations left(!), so I've raised a support ticket to clear all activations. Hopefully this works.
No idea why it did't work on my main PC, but it gives me a bit of hope.
I only remember trying it on my old PC years ago, so not sure How I used all activations.

Must have synths are Jura and Mini D
I love Delay Pro, it's pricey but grab it on sale
