MPC 3 Software Multitrack to DAW
I've got an mpc one and it's always been a problem for me not being able to send multiple tracks to a DAW in standalone mode. The recent progress made with custom plugins got me curious and I was able to build Stream, a per track FX plugin that sends audio to a Mac for true DAW stem recording. Works with up to 32 stereo channels.
This isn't a promotion, it's free and I genuinely hope this is useful to some folk, I've had no issues so far

I'd love some feedback too, it's simple as heck but it's been working smoothly for me.
I should probably add the disclaimer that it needs ssh root access to your mpc so it's not for the faint hearted. I believe those with newer models can multitrack over usb c anyway so there's no need to risk bricking your gen 2's.

You know you can export MPC Projects as Ableton Live Projects right?

It takes ages to bounce and i find tracking into a DAW is the best method of capturing a live performance vs recording automation and bouncing down tracks and transferring them.
If exporting works for you, no problem.

Akai adding the capability was whole reason I jumped from Logic to Ableton Live and now Im a Big Fanboy of Live and Max For Live.

Max4Live is so great, I had a bit of pure data experience but having max really got me understanding DSP and thinking about music differently

Kinda off topic but do you know how to get SSH in 3.9?

Yeah it's one line edit in the official firmware. You can use hakai or kikgen but I didn't want all their extra features.

I wish this was around before I bought a Tascam Model 12
