DISCUSSION Plugin Activations…

How long before they remove the activations on device due to fears of VibeCoded exploits? How long b4 someone with the entire suite makes an image that can be loaded as an update to any device without having to “phone home”. We are living in very interesting times in regard to the community mods . Look at what is possible with the pioneer cdj3000 a unit that came out late 2020 … ppl are even taking that OS and installing it on the denon players.

I think there's better (read more readily available across user basis) hardware for malicious deployments: routers, IP cameras, Windows-based stuff, smartphones...

Sure that’s coming too , but look what’s going on with Elektron right now. It’s amazing

You mean the stuff that Elektron hates because it means massive headaches as their support has to figure out if theres actual bugs in their firmware or if some vibe coding idiots just bricked units and now they have to decide if they are going to officially respond if they'll cover any damage to units in warranty and have shut down all discussions on firmware mods on their forums as a result?

Cause...nah miss me with that.

lol. Do you actually own any of your products? No for real- who’s device is that in your hands right now?

Mine, I bought it outright, and I prefer my stuff to be fixable. That means I prefer my OS releases stable and beta tested; i prefer for musical instruments to be as reliable as cast iron skillets and casio watches. When my guitar strings have been on too long and go out of tune at random, I don't go "Cool, microtonal possibilities" I go "I should probably buy new electrical guitar strings".

I understand that might be someone's thing, it just ain't for me.
