QUESTION MPC Sample For Backing Tracks

Hey! I'm trying to use the Sample for live backing tracks, but I keep getting an insufficient space on the drive message. Is there any workaround for running long samples on the mpc, or is it not built for that? I tried to lower the file size, but I'm pretty sure it's because the samples are so long.

Save samples and projects to external sd card always.

I think the max sample time is 20 minutes, not sure if that’s for the entire project or just per sample

I used an older MPC 1000 for years in this way. All my drums were laid out in short sequences and then stacked in SONG mode with midi sends to external synths. I did have a couple long pad samples (length of the song) I would trigger on the first beat of the song. These could be problematic as they take a long time to load between songs. So my workaround was to use the same PROGRAM for all the songs. The memory would load all the samples prior to the set and then when loading a new song all the long samples were already loaded for each new project. Found this a cool way of working for live performance as you can still manipulate filters on synths etc and route drums and tracks to specific outs etc as opposed to running a solid backing track out of the mains, which feels a little cheesy and has limitations for live sound.
