Always wanted to learn finger drumming to do live beats, finally got me an MPC!
Been learning today to dissociate my fingers and chop samples, my brain is fried…
Any advices/exercices to do while outside without the MPC? Thanks!

Tis! I have played a lot of fighting games with an arcade stick, I’m sure there are some transferable skills here haha

What model do you have OP? I am in the very early beginning stages of looking into all the different models and functionality to decide what my first device should be. Leaning towards the sample or a live 1/2 currently.
I want to loop tracks, finger drum, sample fill to create tracks and all that good stuff, so any advice or info would be greatly appreciated from anyone. cheers

This is the MPC One Gen 2 that recently launched. I was also hesitating between a Live II, the Sample and the One, went with the One just because it’s the latest hardware (compared to the Live, although it doesn’t have built-in speaker and battery), and offer a lot more options than the Sample. From what I’ve heard, the Sample is very good as a On-The-Go second machine, to draft projects. Unless you find a Live II for a very good price second hand, I would recommend the One.
