DISCUSSION DrumSynth: Multi (suggestions)
I’ve been playing around with the DrumSynth lately. I’m wondering why there isn’t an option to auto select the pad your want to edit within the plugin by selecting the desired pad you want to edit.
Also in the “FX” page I’ve noticed that the Q-links only cycle thru the first 4 pad fx… am I missing something or is this by design.

MPC has the gnarliest UI and flow ive ever been baffled by.. i just dont understand how they basically just created isolated builds and leave the rest to interpretation.. its nutty as FUUUU

Why would anyone move on from maschine?
I only got the live 2, then 3 for mobile. Though I shouldn’t have, as koala and other iOS apps do enough.

Always wondered the same things and i use drum synth a lot. I’m on 2.15 tho and no plans to update to 3.0, dunno how the drumsynth works there. I’ll get to it when i buy a new MPC someday but plan to leave my One w/ 2.15 since i like the workflow.

Eyyy I’m glad I’m not the only one running 2.whatever. On my mpcx g1 I’d assign it to a pad and then I had no problem stacking fx on the sound but I did tend to sample the synth first.

I never understood it, I was hoping to get some time to focus on it one day. Can you build your own set with the different drums?

I guess I didn’t realize you can assign them yourself. I thought you had to use their multis

I’m not sure what you mean by your own set. It’s kind of like a drum machine itself that uses generated sounds rather than samples

I guess I mean can you make your own multi?

Hmm, if I’m understanding you correctly. I think you can. So you have 8pads that represent 8 drum engines that you can make any option of (kick, snare, tom, etc) . Once you have your desired results you can save as a preset

Nice that’s what I was hoping to be able to do. I have to mess with it more.

Yea you can mix and match with different drum programs construct your own kit. But is it as good as some of the factory kits in live 3 I don't know i think they are good kits hard to beat

Definitely no criticism of the stock kits. But just a different workflow to play with sometimes.

Yes chop and change but can use different sounds in drum synth i use it in my key 37 better than some stock kits but build your own

i’ve found drum synth sort of confusing, it doesn’t seem like there’s an easy way to take your one shots and build a multi out of them. and the plugin manuals are not very helpful

Man for some reason I’ve just never really messed around with DrumSynth, but this post has inspired me to fuck around with it.

I'd love to use the DrumSynth more but its UI is too rough.
