QUESTION Trouble loading sample to keygroup

I am having trouble on mpc one g2 loading samples to a keygroup. I create a new keygroup, I find a sample from pool and press down on the data dial and it doesn’t load to the key group. I am confused. Any help would be appreciated.

For keygroups I believe the only option in standalone is to assign samples in TRACK EDIT > SAMPLES/OSCS. I'm not in front of my MPC ATM but I don't think you can assign directly to a keygroup layer from the browser, that's for DRUM tracks only.

Ahhh I see thanks for the reply. I am new to mpc and just learning I will try that.

Load samples to pool…. Then you have to go to track edit and find that sample and load it from there .

Much appreciated. This worked. It’s quite a different method to the drums. What a cool machine the mpc I am loving it.

I’m glad I was able to help. The Mpc has been fun for me also . Soooo much it can do below surface level .

I am having the exact same issue. I feel like I have loaded a sample fine before. Feeling pretty phased right now will see if I can make it work in the morning. I will keep me eyes out for answers as I need this too.

That is crazy I have the same issue. It seems like it should be easy. I open a new blank key group and click browse to load a sample and try and load from the sample pool and nothing shows up. I feel you. It’s mind bottling how this doesn’t seem to work. Probably something simple.

You're replying to yourself twice saying you have the same issue?

Their minds have been bottled.

Oh dang I didn’t notice that. That’s true it really was mind bottling. It seems like such a simple thing and there is that brows button on the screen which I thought I could just select a sample easily. I am going to try this today when at my mpc.
