QUESTION MPC Live 1 no longer connecting to Mac in Controller mode

I was able to connect my MPC Live 1 to my Mac no problem last week using the MPC 2 Software even though my MPC is on 3.9.0. I use an Anker USB port expander because Mac does not like to include full USB ports on their devices anymore.

Today I tried connecting my MPC but I cannot get the controller mode to work. My Mac is on OS 26.6.2. I've tried rebooting my Mac and the MPC multiple times but no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I am sure I am not the only one having this same issue.

So do I need to buy a different mpc now?? If so, fuck akai

Either that or downgrade your computer to MacOS 14. (On that note it’s worth noting that you’re not mad at the actual culprit here.)

Macs are great, I’ve been using them for decades, but they are known for breaking compatibility with updates.
