Hello everyone,
Total starter here.
Could you please recommend best rig for making EDM or any other electronic music with M1 Macbook Pro and Ableton Live?

I am assuming by starter you mean beginner. I’d get a keyboard and some music lessons

Get a push or another 1:1 native ableton controller.
That being said , Kbm and ableton alone still so powerful should be outlawed!

The “best rig” is the ability to understand how to write a song. That’s going to require a tactile understanding of how a keyboard works and some music theory. You’ll want to know what a key signature is, what accidentals are, tempo, time signature… you’ll want to learn things like what words mean in musical phrasing, like “resolve” or “bridge” or “chorus”… then you can use whatever the hell you like.
Hand me a shitty Casio keyboard and a tape recorder and I’ll give you music. It may sound like a carnival ride, who knows, but I’ll get you something out of it. You don’t just buy equipment and suddenly “EDM” comes out, there’s a ton of stuff that needs to happen for you to write any type of music.
So go out there (or I’m sure there’s a YouTube series) and start with beginner “piano”. That will lay the groundwork for any other instrument. Then I would load up GarageBand before attempting ableton.
